File:Button italic.png Italic. Makes selected text italic. You can also do so manually by putting text between two pairs of 2 apostrophes. Example:

Note: To make a text both bold and italic, use pairs of 5 apostrophes:
'''''Twinsen''''' → Twinsen
File:Button link.png Internal link. Creates a link to an article within the Twinsuniverse. For more information, see Twinsuniverse links.
File:Button extlink.png External link. Creates a link to another site. For more information, see Help:External links.

File:Button image.png Embedded image. Adds an image to the article. For additional information, see Help:Images.
File:Button media.png Media file link. Linking to a media file (e.g. sound file) on the Twinsuniverse.
File:Button math.png Mathematical formula. Adding a mathematical formula (shouldn't be common here).
File:Button nowiki.png Ignore wiki formatting. Used for showing the wiki code, without it turning into a formatted text. Example:
<nowiki>'''[[Twinsen]]'''</nowiki> → '''[[Twinsen]]'''
File:Button sig.png Your signature with timestamp. Will insert your signature into the page, as well as the time you saved the page. This should only be used at discussion pages.
File:Button hr.png Horizontal line. Adds a horizontal line, similar to a <hr> HTML code. This might interfere with the visual style of headers though, and should thus generally be avoided.

Summarry
You can enter a short description of a few words in here of what you just changed. For example, "added external link", "fixed typos", "expansion of the Description section", etc. This summarry will appear on the History of the article, and will be helpful for those wishing to see the differences made in the article.
Minor edit
If you made only a small change to the article, tick this box. When people look at the History of articles, they will be able to see which edits are minor (marked with an m), and which are more significant. The Recent changes page shows all changes, and offers the ability to hide these minor edits.
Watching a page
If you tick this box, this page will be added to your Watch list. This list shows all the recent changes in the pages you have chosen to watch. You may also set in your preferences to automatically watch any page you have edited (i.e. to automatically tick this box). This checkbox is also available when creating a new page.
Save page
Saves the page, and goes back to read mode with your changes in effect.
Show preview
Does not save your changes but shows a preview of the page with your changes in effect, above the editor. It is very recommended that you use this button before saving, to see if everything works out as you intended and to check if you used the wiki codes correctly. You can also use your preferences to automatically turn the preview on upon entering edit mode.
Cancel
Will discard any changes and take you back to the article in read mode.
