Burgermaster's Key
The Burgermaster's Key is a key used to open the Burgermaster's cupboard at the house of Roger de la Fontaine's brother. This cupboard contained the instructions on how to find the Francos' Key Fragment.
In a search for the Francos fragment, Twinsen goes to the Island of the Francos, wwhere he learns that the key was hidden, and that no one knows where it is now. Twinsen discovers a key in the den of a clockwork owl, that enables him to open the cupboard at the house of Roger de la Fontaine's brother. There, he finds descriptive instructions about how to find the fragment. After following the instructions correctly and accordingly, the Francos Fragment was successfully discovered by the quetch.
