Subpages

This template automatically detects and shows the protection level of another template. It can also automatically categorize the page of that template under the relevant category.

Parameters

  • nocat: Whether or not to suppress categorization under the automatically chosen category (defaults to false, which means auto categorization).

Note: unlike any other categorizing infobox subpage, this one cannot and will not raise any maintenance tasks. This is because any result of its use, automated as it is, can only produce known values.

Examples

Depending on the actual protection level of the template page this is used on, the following code will automatically produce any of the following:

{{Infobox Template/protected}}
Full [list all]
Semi [list all]
No [list all]

The nocat parameter may be used to suppress automatic categorization like this (any value will do):

{{Infobox Template/protected|nocat=true}}

This would render the same result as any of the examples above, but would not automatically categorize under any category.
